Children and Youth
Weekday Programming
During the school year, Fleisher offers art making opportunities for young people 5-18 years old. Affordable workshops and our Free Teen Lounge program provide opportunities for students to experiment with new methods, materials, meet and work with professional artists and practice innovative and contemporary art making.
Teen Lounge is a drop in program for 13-18 years old, tuition free and registration free. Just stop by Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, or all three.
Weekday workshops are designed to provide young people with opportunities to develop artistic skills, foster engagement with the arts, work collaboratively with their peers, encourage self-expression, and build confidence as a creative person. These tuition based workshops provide smaller class size and specialized focus on one type of art making. Most workshops are offered on Wednesday afternoons and run for 10 weeks, for 1.5 hours with staggered start times to accommodate different schedules 3:30-5:00 OR 4:00-5:30. This year, we will offer some other options throughout the year to accommodate shorter commitments and different days.
Please bring a snack.
Getting to Fleisher using public transportation is easy on either the 47 or 40 buses. Parents also frequently arrange carpools. Fleisher does not offer transportation from schools.
Weekday Workshop Costs
Each workshop costs $150 for tuition for members, $165 for non members, plus a $25 lab fee.
