Workshops and Open Studios for Adults
Workshops
Affordable, specialized workshops offer adult students a chance for exploration, skill building, and mastery of artistic techniques. These workshops complement and enrich the basic foundation provided by tuition-free classes by offering increased studio time, smaller class size, and in-depth study with Fleisher’s esteemed faculty.
Workshops are offered year round with both day and evening times. The fall, winter and spring sessions are ten weeks; our shorter summer session is four weeks with an additional week of intensive workshops for those students that would like to immerse themselves in a medium. Fleisher workshops fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged. Fleisher members receive discounts on workshop tuition, and make you eligible to participate in the annual student exhibition.
Tuition assistance is available for Fleisher’s adult workshops, if financial help is necessary to enroll. Read more about tuition assistance. For inquiries about tuition assistance, contact Linda Fernandez at 215-922-3456 ext. 348 or lfernandez@fleisher.org.
Open Studios
Open studio time at Fleisher is available for intermediate or advanced students who wish to work independently in a shared studio space. This is a wonderful opportunity to use the Fleisher facilities to help expand your body of artwork, without the costs of renting your own studio. Open studios are offered in Ceramics, Printmaking, Painting, Drawing, and Darkroom Photography.
Studio availability, costs and lab fees vary.
For new open studio students, an orientation session is required; some additional fees may apply for orientation. Current Fleisher students, knowledgeable of studio practice and Fleisher studio use policies, may request permission from Fleisher faculty to bypass orientation.
