Fleisher is many things to many people. For you, we imagine it is something very special. Maybe it is where you come to cultivate your creativity, discover new talents, and find your first audience. Perhaps it's where your children experience the joy of self-expression. And maybe, it is a place where you find community and camaraderie. Above all, we hope that for you, Fleisher is very much what our founder always intended it to be — “a playground for the soul.”

Over the coming year, our commitment to serving artists will be stronger than ever. We will be offering more than 250 free and low-cost art classes for children and adults here at Fleisher. We will be nurturing the creative talents of low-income students through our artist residencies in Philadelphia public schools. We will be showcasing the talents of our faculty and students as well as local and seasoned artists in over a dozen new exhibitions throughout 2010.

We need your support to achieve these goals and fulfill our mission of making art accessible to everyone, regardless of economic means, background, or artistic experience.

The gifts we collect during our annual fundraising campaign help improve the training we offer our faculty and teaching artists; provide access and inspiration for students with financial barriers; assist with maintaining our studios and facilities; and increase participation in the arts by children and youth in the community.
