705 Christian Street: The Center for Works on Paper
With the opening of the Suzanne Fleisher and Ralph Joel Roberts Gallery in the Center for Works on Paper, Fleisher's
Centennial Capital Campaign, called
Unconventional Wisdom, bore its first fruits in the autumn of 2001. New
printmaking and photography studio spaces in the renovated Christian Street structure opened in January 2002 with expanded
programming and studio hours, and a new program of exhibitions in the gallery space. Extensive improvements to Fleisher's
existing home in a series of interconnected buildings at 709-721 Catharine
Street began in November 2004 to make the buildings safer, more accessible and energy efficient.
