Your Support is Key to Fleisher’s Success!

As the oldest tuition-free arts education program in the nation, Fleisher is both a community-based arts center and a regional presenter of contemporary art, fostering access to professional arts education, artistic excellence, and cultural exchange.

Programs at the Fleisher Art Memorial are inspired by its founder, Samuel Fleisher, who over 100 years ago invited “the world to come learn art.” Today, the organization is fortunate to benefit from Mr. Fleisher’s charitable trust, but must still raise over $500,000 to support a wide range of programs.

Your contribution to the Fleisher Art Memorial guarantees that thousands of Philadelphians, from all backgrounds and all levels of artistic skill, are able to take advantage of workshops and classes in everything from basic drawing to digital photography. Fleisher's galleries feature the work of students, faculty, and the prestigious Challenge exhibitions which provide important exposure to the area’s professional artists. While children's classes are also key component of the school, Fleisher’s Community Partnerships in the Arts program of artists residencies brings art-making to hundreds of neighborhood children, in partnership with public schools and nearby after-school programs.

Fleisher Art Memorial is an independently incorporated 501(c)(3) organization, administered by the Philadelphia Museum of Art (PMA) under the terms of Samuel Fleisher's will. Fleisher receives no financial support from PMA, and pays an annual management fee for professional managerial services and technical assistance in the areas of marketing, personnel, and financial management. Donations to the Fleisher Art Memorial are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
