Phoebe, 1997, cyanotype and gum bichromate, 10"x8"
My subject is the passage of time as revealed by light. In the printing of consecutive layers of cyanotype and gum bichromate color from a single matrix, the black and white pinhole negative, I convey by subjective experience.

About Challenge

Established in 1978, the Challenge Exhibition Series is a regional juried competition that is committed to enriching and expanding people's lives through art. Several three-person shows, held each year from September through May, feature the work of regional artists chosen annually from over three hundred entries.
