Ahmed Salvador

Stare, 2002, Color print, 20" x 24"
Ahmed Salvador captures layers and intensities of pattern in his photographs, producing a catalogue of random abstractions. While some recognizable images are evident, Salvador's color prints are populated with floating orbs and light beams, which evolve into thematic images of space, giving the observer a glimpse into the unknown. These manufactured views of the universe are presented so that viewers may consider their own sense of place and location. Mr. Salvador received his B.F.A. from the University of the Arts and M.F.A. from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
