Mark McCullen

Red Bend, 1996, oil on canvas, 50"x52"
Painting is my link to myself and also to the larger world. It is a way of making sense of things on an intuitive and emotional level. Exploration and expression are visceral rather than rational, language and metophor are not narratives, but neither are they unfamiliar. Sometimes painting is something to believe in.
