I try to make work that is not self-conscious; upon reflection on the finished pieces, I'm struck with the thought that all things come from the earth.

About Challenge

Established in 1978, the Challenge Exhibition Series is a regional juried competition that is committed to enriching and expanding people's lives through art. Several three-person shows, held each year from September through May, feature the work of regional artists chosen annually from over three hundred entries.
