Thomas Gartside

Sieg Heil & Berzerker, 1995, ink on paper, 3" x 4"
Over the last five years I have become increasingly interested in newspaper photography which bombards us on a daily basis. But, as our visual culture becomes saturated, we become inured to the suffereing that permeates our society. My drawings are made as a way to remember and reflect upon important forces in culture which are too easily forgotten.
