My work evokes a universe that is tranquil and contemplative as well as joyous and uplifting. I attempt to paint objects and landscapes that resonate with life-affirming memories and associations creating a kind of visual poetry. Flowing, patterned surfaces, closely observed flowers, interiors and gardens that convey visual richness, all reflect my outlook and vision as well as an attempt to inspire and enrich.

About Challenge

Established in 1978, the Challenge Exhibition Series is a regional juried competition that is committed to enriching and expanding people's lives through art. Several three-person shows, held each year from September through May, feature the work of regional artists chosen annually from over three hundred entries.
