Sarah Biemiller

Forty Miles, 1999, Wax and string, 20'x1'
Sarah Biemiller's intention with her work is to leave a mark , a memory, on the viewer. Repetition is a natural part of her work, in this installation Miles Between she uses repeated lengths of waxed thread to build a powerful resonance in the space. The construction process is incorporated in each piece in both an intuitive and meditative way, because of the many individual elements used. Ms Biemiller received her B.A. from The College of Wooster, Wooster, Ohio and M.F.A. from The University of Colorado, Boulder.
