The Wheel Project

Co-Funded by Fleisher’s Community Partnerships program and Meredith Elementary School, The Wheel project was coordinated by teaching artist Sebastienne Mundheim. The project was developed two Small Learning Communities (grades K-5) at Meredith Elementary School. Based on the wheel, a team of Philadelphia artists worked with the students on sculptures, prints, collages and mixed-media works exploring the kinetic nature of the wheel. The project culminated in an exhibition of the projects in the school’s gym, which was visited by the entire school.
