Queen Village: Discovering Cultural Legacies
Meredith Elementary SchoolGrades K-3rd SLC, 2002
8 eight-week residencies
The study of Queen Village history holds the potential for exploration of American immigrant culture from the earliest colonial settlers, through the 1900s, to the present day. As such, Queen Village represents a vital and rich piece of Philadelphia history, identity and culture. Students in the Kindergarten, first, second and third grades at Meredith Elementary worked with artists and teachers in this community-based cultural study.
