Fruit and Vegetable Pillows

The children learned about nutrition in their classroom. In conjunction with this study, the children did an investigation of shape, color and texture through fruits and vegetables in art. They worked in a variety of media and materials including drawing, collage, sewing, stamp printing and fabric painting.

The culminating project was pillow cover fabric on which the children painted and printed fruit and vegetable images.
