Mural Arts Workshops

Developed in collaboration with the Philadelphia Department of Recreation’s Mural Arts Program, CPA’s mural arts workshop was offered at Fleisher during weekday afternoons in the Spring of 2001. This "magnet" class drew outstanding students from all of the Mural Arts Program’s after-school program sites around Philadelphia. The class provided an opportunity for children to learn the particular skills required to make a mural, but also important life skills, such as planning, cooperation, and consensus building. In Spring 2001, the class was taught by Patty McCole.
