Sculpture
(ages 7 to 17)
Three-dimensional work allows young artists to expand their understanding of artistic concepts and techniques.

Printmaking
(ages 10 to 17)
Drawing skills are expanded and developed through intaglio and relief printmaking techniques of collagraph, etching, monotype, linoleum, and woodcut.

Parents
These classes, specifically offered to parents of children in the Saturday programs, give parents the opportunity to explore their creative potential.

Please note: It is not necessary for parents to enter the class lottery. If your child is chosen for a class, we will make room for you in the appropriate parent class.

For your convenience, Fleisher has devised a lottery registration procedure for our ever-popular Saturday Young People's program. The lottery schedule is as follows:

1. JULY–22 AUGUST 2008: Download or pick up a lottery registration form and class information form at Fleisher, Monday–Friday, 10:00 A.M.–5:00 P.M., or send a self-addressed, stamped #10 envelope to:

Children's Program Lottery Form Request
Fleisher Art Memorial
719 Catharine Street
Philadelphia PA 19147-2811

2. Friday, 22 August 2008, 5:00 P.M.: Deadline for delivery of all completed forms to Fleisher. These may be mailed or hand-delivered during office hours.

3. Following week: Postcards or e-mails with lottery results will be sent to all participants. [Waiting lists are established once a class fills, and applicants will be contacted when spaces become available. Waiting lists are not held over from one term to the next.]

4. Saturday, 6 SEPTEMBER 2008, 10:00 A.M.–12:00 P.M.: Parents/guardians of those chosen in the lottery must attend walk-in registration to verify enrollment by paying lab fees. Bring verification postcard or copy of e-mail notification. Those who do not finalize registration on this date will be removed from the roster and replaced with individuals from the waiting list.

Additional information concerning Saturday Young People's Program class policies will be provided at walk-in registration.

Because Fleisher's classes are designed to be age-appropriate, children entering this program must be at least 5 years old in September 2008. Parents of five-year-olds must present proof of their child's age at registration.

Membership and Materials Fees
No instructional fees are charged, but students are asked to take a membership of $15 for the term. Students are required to pay materials fees: $25 for those taking painting and drawing classes and $35 for those taking sculpture or printmaking.
